A bad sample that goes into mass production can mean thousands of finished units that don’t work for you, leading to re-work, restarting production and the sort of delays that put your client relationships at danger.

The Five Stages of Sample Discussion
1. Original First Samples
Your first prototype is your product in its first physical form. Built to your technical design standards including Pantone references, fabric needs, CAD drawings and construction details. At this point in the process, our sampling services are employed to verify that the factory has correctly interpreted your design and to discover any discrepancies between what was stated and what was produced. The following sample stage includes all necessary changes, clearly indicated.
2. Samples of Workmanship
Workmanship samples are representative of the type of quality the factory would use at bulk – stitching, hemming, construction, shape, size and overall finish. This is where we measure the factory’s capacity to produce vs your workmanship criteria. Comments from the proto stage are included and any further observations regarding craftsmanship are recorded and relayed to the factory. It is a critical phase in any serious product inspection services project.
3. Pre-Production Samples (PP Samples)
The accepted final benchmark is the pre-production sample – the physical standard by which bulk production will be tested and against which all subsequent quality assurance services will be assessed. Bulk production should not begin without a proper PP sample review and sign off. Our team ensures that all proto and workmanship comments are resolved before sign-off is issued.
4. Samples of photoshoot
When you need product samples ready to go for photography, marketing or PR, every detail matters – correct colour, excellent condition, and an accurate representation of what customers will receive. Our quality management services team produces and checks photographic samples to be in accordance with your quality standards and your marketing requirements at the same time.
5. Samples of Shipment
Shipment samples are taken from the actual manufacturing run, with final packing, labels, barcodes and artwork included, and are the final record of what your item will look like. They are utilised for retailer approvals, quality documentation and for any future reference in case of complaints over product quality or specification compliance.
Sample sealing is the official quality management services process that takes an accepted sample and makes it the definitive standard for production. After the sample has been examined and accepted, our technicians will seal it at the factory in a manner that will reveal any further tampering. This sealed sample removes uncertainty – for the factory, for your team, and for any subsequent inspection services that refer to it.
