Container Loading Monitoring

Supervision Service Prior To Your Container Is Sealed

The Difference Between a Passed Inspection and a Good Shipment

You did everything perfectly. Your output was off to a good start,” said the IPC. The DUPRO kept everything on track. Passed the Final Random Inspection. And then there’s loading day, and without anyone observing, cartons are mixed, amounts are short, or things are stacked in such a way as to virtually ensure damage in transit.

It happens more often than most importers know, and it’s the gap a Container Loading Check (CLC) is supposed to bridge. This on-site container loading inspection service gives you the peace of mind of having an Ace Sure inspector at your factory on loading day – from the first carton to the final seal – making sure that everything that was inspected and approved actually goes into the container properly, in the right quantity and in the right condition.

A CLC is the final checkpoint in your quality control solutions programme and for many importers it is the one that prevents the most financially harmful form of shipment fault – the one you don’t spot until items reach at your warehouse.

Actual Risk of Loading Day

Even if a Final Random Inspection has been passed, there are a number of things that can go wrong at the loading stage. Sometimes wrong amounts are loaded from factories, either by mistake or intentionally. Different order cartons might be blended. There are last minute adjustments to packaging or labelling problems. Goods may be packed or loaded in such a way as to cause harm in transit. And the containers themselves might occasionally have problems from before – moisture, structural damage or odours – that can influence your cargo even before it leaves port.

Our 3rd party inspection team covers all these hazards on loading day. During loading inspection we use internationally acknowledged sample methodologies (ISO 2859-1 / ANSI/ASQC Z1.4) known as AQL to make sure our process is statistically sound and benchmarked internationally – not just a visual walk through.

What Is Included in Our Container Loading Inspection

The entire loading process is supervised and documented by a competent inspector.

Supervision of Loading Process

The inspector observes the way items are handled and placed by loading workers from the beginning to the end of the loading process – looking for any activities that could damage the products during travel.

Quantity Verification

We verify carton quantities against your packing list and purchase order. Any difference in carton count or unit quantity is noted before sealing of the container.

Carton Condition Check

Each carton is checked for physical integrity – damage, crushing, moisture intrusion or other condition that may indicate that the packing may not protect the contents during delivery.

Loading Plan Compliance

Items are verified against your authorised loading plan to ensure proper stacking, bracing and weight distribution to avoid movement and damage in transport. It's a simple item to overlook, but our industrial inspection services team views it as vital.

Weight Compliance

individual carton weights and overall container weight is tested to be compliant to specifications and shipping requirements.

Anti-Mould and Moisture Assessment

The inspector checks that anti-mould measures are working, the cargo is dry and the environment within the container is adequate for international transit, particularly for textile and wood products.

What is in the CLC Report

When loading is complete you will receive a thorough loading report showing the total quantity loaded, findings about carton condition, any discrepancies discovered, the container seal number and photographic proof of the loading process and sealed container. This documentation is delivered on time and gives you the evidence trail you need for insurance, supplier accountability and your own quality records.

Who should be scheduling a CLC?

  • Importers with high value cargoes where quantity accuracy directly impacts profitability
  • Buyers that have had loading irregularities, quantity deficits or mixed shipments in the past
  • Companies sourcing fragile, hygroscopic or susceptible products in transit
  • Any importer with retail partners having stringent labelling, barcoding or documentation compliance requirements
  • Buyers who are buying from a new supplier for the first time on a major order
