During Production Inspection

QA QC Services That Maintain Your Order's Progress

The Mid-Production Moment That Most Importers Forget

Each production order has a window where fixing quality concerns is still cheap. This is the time when 20% to 80% of your goods are finished and packed – after enough production has occurred to reveal meaningful patterns, but before the factory has committed to finishing the entire order.

A During Production Inspection or DUPRO is intended specifically for that window. This is one of the most efficient QA QC services available to importers, not because it is the flashiest intervention, but because of the near-perfect placement in time. Find a defect at the DUPRO stage and you can rectify it while production is still going. Miss it here and you’re in the fallout in the last inspection point when thousands of units are already done.

At Ace Sure our DUPRO inspectors use purpose-built, state of the art checklists to do inspections covering all aspects of the manufacturing inspection from workmanship and standards, to packaging, testing and production schedule compliance. All inspections are performed in accordance with the internationally recognized ANSI/ASQC Z1.4 sample standard, giving you data you can act on with confidence.

What a DUPRO Really Covers

Our inspector randomly samples all completed production batches and systematically reviews quality.
Here is what that looks like in practice:

Production Progress vs. Schedule

We compare actual output with the projected production schedule. You know a plant is falling behind today, not three days before your shipment deadline. This is one of the most valuable parts of our production monitoring services.

Workmanship & Finished Unit Quality

Finished units are inspected to your specifications and authorized samples to identify trends of faults or process inconsistencies that can impact the entire order.

Quantity & Production Rate Verification

We verify the factory’s reported quantity against what we can see and count, and determine if the current rate of production will finish your order on time.

Compliance with Your Specifications

As part of a complete product inspection services process, each sampled unit is examined against your precise demands – including dimensions, materials, colour, construction and performance.

Packaging, Marking and Labelling

We inspect carton condition, labelling, barcodes and marking of units previously packed to your standards.

On-Site Functional Testing

We perform relevant on-site tests, where applicable to your product, such as tensile strength, colour fastness, GSM, Hi-Pot, resistance tests, carton drop testing (ASTM D5276), adhesive testing (ASTM D3359-02)

The Timing of a DUPRO Matters

The financial reasoning of a DUPRO is simple. Should a quality deviation be identified mid-production, the plant has the opportunity to alter its processes, address workmanship faults or replace non-conforming components or correct packaging specifications—all while production is still in active run. The cost of that repair is a fraction of the cost of rework or rejection once the order is complete.

Imagine what happens without one. A little manufacturing variance at the beginning of the production run multiplies discreetly throughout each production batch. And it shows up in all units by the time the Final Random Inspection does. You either modify thousands of finished goods in the plant, accept a compromised shipment or the goods are rejected outright. None of those are good consequences – and they’re all avoidable with a well-timed DUPRO as part of your quality control solutions campaign.

More sourcing teams throughout the world are adopting DUPROs into the routine order flow, rather than deploying them reactively after a problematic shipment. It’s a move away from reactive quality management to proactive quality assurance services – and the business case is overwhelming.

DUPRO in the context of a broader quality program

A DUPRO is most effective when paired with other inspection services – an Initial manufacturing Check prior to manufacturing and a Final Random Inspection prior to shipping. So using this three-stage technique you cover all the way through the manufacturing cycle, at every milestone, with no blind spots.

Ace Sure’s quality management services team works with clients of all sizes to build inspection programmes tailored to their individual goods, suppliers and budgets. We’re here to help you build it, whether you require just one DUPRO or a whole, continuous quality plan.

During-Production-Inspection

What Happens After the Inspection?

You receive a complete, fully illustrated inspection report on the same day, if possible, after the DUPRO. When quality issues are detected, the report includes precise corrective action recommendations and our inspector provides feedback directly to the supplier to guarantee issues are resolved in the process of production.

It is this combination of speedy reporting and direct supplier communication that makes our inspection services truly useful for importers who need to move fast and cannot afford to lose days to back-and-forth.

Ready to make a booking?

DUPRO inspections are conducted by our full-time, ISO-accredited inspectors that cover all of India’s major manufacturing hubs. It’s one of the most affordable quality purchases you can make at a base price of $150 all-inclusive.
