Remote Inspections and Sample Approval

What is a Remote Inspection?

ASIS combine our leading inspection expertise and experience with the benefits of technology to ensure the quality of your products remotely – anytime, anywhere.

Utilizing ASIS livestreaming technology, a specialist experienced in managing inspectors will guide factory staff remotely through the steps of a product inspection and collect evidence of key findings on the product's quality.

Product inspections, whether they are remote or on-site, are a key element of quality control and will help to prevent quality problems and supply chain disruptions once products are on the shelves.

An Ace Sure Guided Inspection can be conducted at the following stages of the manufacturing process:

  • IPC – Initial Production Check
  • DUPRO – During Production Inspection
  • PSI – Pre-Shipment Inspection

How is a remote inspection performed?

The inspection booking, inspection checklist and overall process for a remote Inspection is the same as with a ASIS Onsite Inspection.

In a remote Inspection, a team of  factory staff perform tests, carefully following the step-by-step instructions provided by Ace Sure supervisor who will remotely monitor the inspection via a livestream. During the inspection, the Ace Sure supervisor will digitally capture images of the product.

Once the inspection is complete, the Ace Sure supervisor carefully checks the captured pictures against the product specifications and a detailed report is delivered by ASIS within the same day.

Remote Inspections vs Onsite Inspections

Ace Remote Inspections are not an alternative to full onsite inspections. It's a process meant to provide an additional safety layer to factory self-inspections and focus on specification checks and tests.

Although Remote Inspections can't offer the same accuracy level and checking depth as a traditional onsite inspection, our Remote Inspections have been designed to guide factory inspectors and ensure that findings are un-biased. If you're looking for full peace of mind, you may want to opt for a standard onsite inspection.

Why Remote Inspections?

A remote Inspection will be suitable if:

  • There is limited accessibility to the factory.
  • Business continuity is required in the face of disruptions.
  • You require visibility of the finished product prior to shipment.
  • You need to ensure quality of the shipment with no delay.
  • Prevents supply chain disruptions.
  • Verify quality at the source and don't pay for defective goods.
  • Avoid recalls and reputational damage.
  • Anticipate production and shipment delays.
  • Optimize your quality control budget.

What is remote sample approval?

Market situations like COVID and lockdowns have emerged the ideas of remote inspections as they were a big hit and worked very well for the customers. When international logistics are disrupted or a quick approval turn-around is needed or market situations are not favorable, having your factory send pre-production or production samples to your quality team for review may not be an option.

Remote Sample Approval will speed up the approval process. Ace Sure inspector will go to the factory and connect with the quality team using video technology. Guided by the quality team, Ace Sure inspector will perform an evaluation of the pre-production or production samples incorporating the following:

  • Measurement check
  • Seal and sign specifications
  • Evaluation of technical aspects following client’s proto-sample comments e.g. check garments fabrication, construction, workmanship etc.
  • Dummy fit check (when the dummy is available)
  • Sample sealing

These remote sample approval sessions can be recorded and made available on-demand.

Remote sample approval is available for all product categories without restrictions, including high-risk categories, thanks to ASIS's extensive inspection expertise.

Benefits of remote sample approval?

The main benefits of remote sampling are as below:

  • Avoid time delays caused by international shipping
  • Reduce lead-time and shipping costs by performing sample approval and sealing onsite at your factory, anywhere in the world
  • Optimized report issued on the same day including key findings and pictures
  • Report format can be fully customized depending on your specific needs
